As a RN / RPN / LPN, your skills and experience will be a great asset in assisting our residents with the activities of daily living – physical, social, emotional, spiritual, cultural – all of which help our residents to live their fullest lives. You are a role model and team leader in providing and coordinating individualized resident care, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality resident-focused care.

This compassionate role will provide you with the opportunity to use your talents and abilities in care, develop strong relationships, hone your keen eye for details, and demonstrate good judgment. We value individuals with a passion for the welfare of our seniors and an innate desire to do good. Plus, you get to work among a great community of people with a wealth of experience!

Fair Haven is a respected non-profit serving seniors in Vancouver and Burnaby. With two long-term care homes and three independent living buildings, we support over 300 employees in creating safe, inclusive, person-centred communities for seniors.
 
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the HR Manager leads all core HR functions in a unionized, multi-site environment. This includes labour relations, recruitment, performance management, attendance and disability management, policy development, employee engagement, and strategic HR planning.
 
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to leadership, oversee grievance and collective agreement matters, support onboarding and education programs, manage WSBC and LTD cases, and help shape a positive, respectful workplace culture.
 
This is an onsite position based in Vancouver and Burnaby.
 
What You Bring
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience in a unionized environment (health care preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, investigation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential matters
  • Highly organized with strong analytical ability
  • CHRP designation (asset)

  • Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year

Fair Haven Homes Society is recruiting volunteer Board Directors and Committee Members to help guide the future of seniors’ care and housing. These volunteer roles offer a unique opportunity to help shape the future of seniors’ housing and long‑term care while making a tangible difference in the lives of older adults.

As a Board/Committee member, you’ll work alongside a committed group of volunteer leaders and Fair Haven’s senior leadership team to provide governance, strategic direction, and stewardship in support of our mission: to provide safe, secure, respectful, inclusive, and person‑centred homes where seniors can thrive.
