Applicants must be over 55 years and able to care for themselves. Applicant’s income must be within the BC Housing Seniors Rentals Income Limits.
Burnaby Apartments
Fair Haven’s Burnaby Apartments is a three-storey independent living building, renting to seniors 55 years and over, and for tenants with disabilities 50 years and over.
There are 55 barrier-free, one-bedroom units with a floor area of approximately 650 sq. ft. All units have a small patio. Communal seating areas, some with TVs and pianos, are available for tenants to use. The first floor lounge with kitchen is available for tenants’ use; booking with the office is required in advance.
The building, which opened in March 1999, is a project in partnership with the BC Housing and Mortgage Corporation; 33 units are subsidized on a needs basis and the remaining 22 units are market-priced units.
Subsidized units are an assessed percentage of the tenant’s income (assessed based on BC Housing guidelines).
*Radiant heat and hot water is included in the rent.
